McCranie & Associates was founded in 1998 as a full service engineering consulting firm. Initially the company focused on the design of commercial and residential site development. M&A continues to offer these design services for private clients. In 2010, the focus of the company turned to public work. M&A was selected by Nassau County as one of its Continuing Consultants, and remained under contract for six years. M&A has been working with the FDOT since 2012. We have won six projects, three in District 5 and three in District 2.
Elizabeth McCranie - President
Ms. McCranie serves as the president of McCranie & Associates. With her development and real-estate background, she leads the design efforts for the private sector design group. Elizabeth has been with McCranie & Associates since its inception (1998) and became its president in 2011. Her understanding of client needs and her attention to detail make her an ideal working partner. Ms. McCranie is also certified in Specification Package creation and submittal.

Daniel McCranie, PE
Mr. McCranie serves as the vice-president and lead design engineer for McCranie & Associates, Inc. He provides project management, design and quality assurance services for the delivery of professional services for drainage, site design, and transportation projects in Florida. Mr. McCranie has 23 years of experience in all phases of civil engineering for both private and public sector clients. His expertise includes design and permitting of minor rural roadway paving projects; pond siting reports for local and state roadway projects; project development and environment (PD&E) studies; water and sewer design; drainage improvement projects; and commercial site and residential development planning, design and permitting. As project manager/design engineer, he has successfully managed/designed many projects for Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Nassau County, Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA), Daytona State College and many private clients. He has been responsible for permitting projects through agencies including local municipalities, Water Management Districts, the Department of Transportation, Department of Environmental Protection, Army Corps of Engineers, Department of Environmental Health and CSX Railroad. Mr. McCranie is also the district engineer for several Community Development Districts, including Amelia Walk CDD and Amelia Concourse CDD.
Mr. McCranie is Certified in Advanced Work Zone Traffic Control and Specifications Package creation and submittal. He is also trained in the use of the latest Highway Safety Manual.
Brett Manzie, PE
Mr. Manzie serves as the Senior Transportation Engineer for McCranie & Associates. He provides project management, design and quality assurance / quality control for the delivery of professional services for transportation and site civil projects in Central and North Florida.
Mr. Manzie has 10 years of experience in all areas of civil engineering for both public and private sectors with a primary focus on Roadway Design. He is trained in Advanced MOT, Specifications, Long Range Estimates, Intersection Safety, Geopak and 3D Geopak Corridor Modeling.
His expertise include both rural and urban roadway design (RRR and new construction), temporary traffic control, lighting design, water and sewer design, drainage improvement projects, and signing & pavement markings.
